"Alright, then. Lets get this party started. Tylo, use Sand Attack and make that Gust into a sandstorm. Then, tackle into it so you can rise with it." The Makuhita listened to the directions and performed the task almost immedietly. He started to spin around really fast, kicking up sand, then Tackled into the Tornado.

((So... He jumped straight into the attack?)) The Pidgey flew up to a branch, and watched as Tylo was spun 'round and 'round in it's attack. Getting bored of simply sitting there, the Pidgey went aloft, and flapped it's wings once more, increasing the power of the gust/sandstorm.

OOC: Yep, it's a strategy my character is trying BiC: Since the storm was increasing, Tylo moved upward. Soon he was directly under the Pidgey. "Now, Tylo, use Tackle on the Pidgey." Tylo shot straight up out of the gust, trying out this weird strategy.

((Woulda worked pretty well if Pidgey was above the Gust But yah... JUST for you, I'll say the Pidgey learned Teleport for half a second... xP)) The Pidgey was skimmed by the attack, but wasn't spun out of control; it was used to things knocking into it at high speeds. It used Gust enough that it had debree and junk flying towards it for several hours of the day, sometimes - all by its own choice. Now that the Makuhita was above the Pidgey - if only for a few seconds - it power-flapped so it was up high in the air before Makuhita fell down. Then, it used the strongest Gust it could muster, hoping to make Tylo jam into the ground with more impact than it would have before. By now, the other sandstorm was strewn over the ground. It's power had faded earlier, and was now completely gone.

Max couldn't believe the strength of the Gust and how much the Pidgey could take. Now Tylo was falling down and fast. Then, when the pidgey used Gust, Max knew he was in trouble. "Tylo, lets try to work together, like the man said. Use Sand-Attack and try to slow down your fall. Tylo started to spin in the air again. When the gust hit him, it hurt him a little but gave his spin more power. When he was close to the ground the sand made a make-shift pillow and he landed, soft, not really.

The Pidgey, frustrated by now, sent another Gust down, trying to make it hit it's mark before Tylo could get up. The Nidoran looked a bit more interested in the battle by now, and he really seemed to be paying close attention to every inch of the battle.

Tylo saw the gust coming and quickly tried to dodge it. But by the time he realized what happened he had been pulvarized into the ground. "It's ok Tylo. Your doing awesome for one of your first battles. Tylo, a little more confident if his trainer had confidence, sat up and was ready for action. "Good, thats the spirit. Use Focus Energy and wait to read his moves." Tylo started to raise his power and focused at his center.

Pidgey flew to the ground, and sent up a whirl of sand towards Tylo's face, using one of it's much-less perfected Sand Attacks. The Nidoran Male was sitting up alertly by now, very interested in the outcome of the battle. Both sides seemed to be weakening. Tylo just seemed to show it more; the Pidgey was, too. You just had to know where to look. Only the Nidoran (or someone else who lived on Route One) would know where to look for the weakness in that family line of Pidgey's.

Thats it. He can't perform Sand-Attack. So if we reversed it... "Tylo use Sand-Attack, a real Sand Attack. Use the already in the air sand to to make it stronger then Tackle." Tylo nodded, liking the plan. He started to spin very fast, faster than Max had ever seen him do it and pretty soon, there was a giant cloud of sand. Then he lunged forward at the hopefully-blinded Pidgey.

The Pidgey was confused by all the sand, and was shoved backwards viciously by the Makuhita. "PIIID!" It screeched, as it was rammed back-first into a tree. It fell down, fainted, head falling to one side.
Tylo gains two levels! Tylo gains 3 happiness levels! Max finds $200!

"We actually won. Tylo you did it." Max ran over to the fighting Pokemon an tried to lift him, but he weighed like 200 lbs. so he just patted him on the pack. He glanced over the nidoran and said "So, how were we?"

The Nidoran looked from the fainted Pidgey, to the victorious team, back to the fainted Pidgey, before nodded his approval with a bit of caution. "Ni nido idor... Nidora, doran!" <Pretty good... Yah, good!> The Nidoran shook his head, ridding it of some sand and dirt that had landed on it, unnoticed, during the battle.

<Well... For a while, I guess.> The Nidoran said, sounding slightly unsure of itself, but firm, nonetheless.
