"Tentaros, dodge it then use Tackle. Denhan, use Hypnosis!" The Drowzee started to dance the hypnotic dance of Hypnosis. Then Tentaros stepped to the side then used a Tackle.

The Combusken hopped over the Hypnosis and used Scratch on the Tauros as it was charging.

Tentaros was hit by the Scratch and flew back, hoping that when they had collided he had hurt the big chicken. Then Max yelled, "Now, another Tackle and a Pound for you, Denhan." The two Pokemon charged at their opponent, trying to hurt it.

The chiken had been hurt in its shoulder. It stood there for a moment, gripping it with its good arm. He took the two attacks which hit him in the injured shoulder. With the unbearable pain, the Combusken raced out of the area.
The second challenge has been cleared!
Your pokemon gain 1 level! You find $200 on the ground. Tentaros and Denhan gain 3 Happiness points!

Max picked up the money and continued to walk into the next room, ready for his next challenge. He didn't return either of his Pokemon, since they would be his weapons of choice in the next battle.

The Growlithe let them through another path. This time it was even brighter and you could actually see well enough. Rocks bordered this path. They'd look like they'd fall down at any moment. At the end of the path was a Quilava. It was blocking the exit.

"Ahh, another one of the Gaudian Pokemon. How about we use a little Tackle and Pound again, boys." Max's two Pokemon nodded and proceeded with their attacks on the Pokemon that blocked the exit.

The Quilava swiftly dodged both attacks. It rose up and used Quick Attack.

Tentaros was almost about to be hit by the attack, but then Max jumped in front of it, making it hit him full force instead of his friend. The Tauros so Max's kindness, but couldn't figure it out. Denhan ran over to Max, to see if he was alright, while Tauros used a Tackle on the Quilava, avenging Max's sacrifice.

The Quilava took the attack, but quickly used an Ember. It didn't really care that Max had shown so much emotion to his pokemon. It was his job to try and stop from clearing the challenge.

Tentaros was enraged about how lacking of care the Quilava had. This time, his Tackle attack was the strongest that he could make it, for his trainer.
Meanwhile, Max got up, telling Denhan he was fine then telling him to use a Pound attack. Denhan ran at the Fire Pokemon, with as much vengenace as Tentaros. None of the Embers hit.

The Quilava once again sped out of the way. It glared at the Tauros. <Hey buddy don't blame me. It's just my job to stop people from coming past here. I have to my job.> It shrugged and took the Pound from Denhan. The fire dog turned on the Drowzee. It shot an Ember at the psychic pokemon.

The Drowzee took the Embers, with little complaint. He used a Hypnosis, trying to make the Pokemon sleepy and distract him from what was behind him. Tentaros was charging at it with a Tackle. The whole time this was going on, Max was looking, awestruck, as his Pokemon battled without him telling them.

The Drowzee's attack luckily missed, but the next one was sure to hit. The Quilava took the tackle and was rammed into a wall. The crash caused the rocks at the top to shake violently. The Quilava ignored it and used Ember on Tentaros.

Seeing the rocks being shook when the wall was hit, Max had an idea. "Alright, Tentaros. Corner the Quilave by the cliff and Denhan, I want you to use Pound on the cliff to make the rocks fall.
